KDC General Hospital in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kathmandu North & BM Foundation organized a free uterine health screening camp for women at KDC General Hospital in Basundhara. The camp provided health check-ups for 50 women, including 15 Pap smears, 5 video X-rays, and 3 laboratory tests. The initiative aimed to address the lack of regular health screenings among urban women, particularly those from low to middle-income backgrounds, who may not have adequate access to healthcare services.

Dr. Buddhi Man Shrestha, Chairperson of BM Foundation, highlighted that many urban women are unaware of the importance of regular health check-ups, leading to the organization of this camp. The medical team included obstetricians and gynecologists Dr. Meena Pradhan and Dr. Puja Yadav, along with nursing staff and coordinators who ensured the smooth operation of the camp. The event also received support from KDC General Hospital, which provided technical assistance.

Representatives from the Rotary Club of Kathmandu North, including President Pritam Poudel and Service Project Chair Past President Gautam Prasad Khanal, expressed satisfaction in collaborating on this health initiative and indicated plans for future cooperation. BM Foundation has a history of conducting free health camps in rural areas and, based on studies indicating a lack of awareness in urban settings, extended their services to urban women to promote better health practices.
