Free Eye Screening & Public Awareness Program at ShreeKrishna Gandaki Health Post, Kaligandaki RM

We have conducted our eye camp in Shree Krishna Gandaki Health Post of Chaap village, ward number 6 of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality, Syangja. In 21st October, 2024, total 266 participant were there in the eye screening camp among them 197 of them were female and 69 of them were male population.

We have conducted our eye camp in Shree Krishna Gandaki Health Post of Chaap village, ward number 6 of Kaligandaki Rural Municipality, Syangja. In 21st October, 2024, total 266 participant were there in the eye screening camp among them 197 of them were female and 69 of them were male population.

From the screening eye condition of the 266 of the participants of Day 2. From them 19 of them had no any eye disease, 87 had Presbyopia, 44 had Dry Eyes Syndrome, 42 had Pinguecula, 31 had Refractive Error, 31 had Pterygium, 21 had Ocular Allergy, 12 them had Immature Senile Cataract, 11 had Age Related Cataract, 9 had Pseudophakia, remaining were suffering from other eye related disease (Posterior Sub Capsular Cataract, Episcleritis, Blepharitis, Mature Senile Cataract, Nasolacrimal Duct Block and Corneal Opacity). 4 OA from Himalayan Eye Hospital were connected with BM foundation to run the screening program effectively. They also prescribed the medicine and reading glass as per their need and those who needed treatments from higher level were reffered to higher facilities. 78 participants received glassess and 8 got reffered to nearest health facilities.
