Syangja – A free eye examination camp has been completed in Waling Municipality-7 of the district. 235 people received eye-related services in the free eye examination camp held at Kanware Bhanjyang Health Post on Saturday, April 20.
153 women and 82 men underwent eye examinations in the camp. 18 people were recommended for cataract surgery after various eye problems were detected. Similarly, 51 people had dry eye, 18 had pterygium, 11 had pinguecula, 26 had refractive error, 86 had presbyopia, 9 had ocular allergy, 2 had conjunctivitis, 1 had squint, 2 had blepharitis and 1 had trichiasis.
Free reading glasses were distributed to 82 people and free medicines were provided to 161 people in the camp.
The camp was organized by Waling Municipality Ward No. 07 and co-organized by BM Foundation and Taiwan Prevent Blindness. KDC Hospital, KDC Eye Care Center, and Himalaya Eye Hospital played an important role as supporting organizations.
