On Mangsir 20, 2082 (December 6, 2025), a Free Cervical Screening Camp was successfully conducted at Jhor Mahankal Health Post, Tokha–1, providing screening services to around 100 patients. Many women directly benefited from this initiative. Cervical screening is a vital preventive health service that enables the early detection of precancerous conditions and cervical cancer, allowing timely treatment and significantly reducing health risks and mortality among women.
In addition to screening services, comprehensive cervical health education sessions were delivered by a gynecologist, raising awareness on cervical cancer prevention, the importance of regular screening, and healthy reproductive practices. Such community-based initiatives play a crucial role in improving access to essential health services, especially for women who may otherwise have limited opportunities for preventive care.
The program was organized by BM Foundation, with co-organization and technical support from KDC General Hospital. We sincerely thank Tokha Municipality for providing the opportunity to serve the community. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the dedicated doctors, health workers, supporters, and all participants whose collective efforts made this camp a success. The initiative was further strengthened by the generous support of the Rotary Club of Greenland Kathmandu, Rotary Club of Kathmandu–Downtown, Rotary Club of Thamel Kathmandu, Rotary Nyatapola, and Himalayan Brokerage Co. Ltd., helping to ensure wider access to cervical health services and education for the community.
