Free Cervical Screening Camp

Event Description

KDC General Hospital in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kathmandu North & BM Foundation organized a free uterine health screening camp for women at KDC General Hospital in Basundhara, Kathmandu. The camp provided health check-ups for 50 women, including 15 Pap smear tests, 5 video X-rays, and 3 laboratory tests. The initiative aimed to raise awareness and provide essential health services to urban women who may lack regular access to such care. The medical team included obstetricians and gynecologists Dr. Meena Pradhan and Dr. Puja Yadav, along with nursing staff. BM Foundation has previously conducted similar health camps in rural areas and chose to focus on urban women for this event to address gaps in health awareness and services. Representatives from the Rotary Club expressed satisfaction in partnering for women's health and indicated plans for future collaborations.
